Reflected in the starboard - Reflejada en estribor

Starboard is a boat, and any means of transportation on water, right in the direction of motion or, more accurately, the right side toward the bow (the front of the boat). The left side is called port.

The reason that the boats are given names to two different sides to the right and left is to avoid confusion, since the crew will move forward and backward, and the crew member who looks back on the right speak to refiréndose left, and vice versa. Andalusia called the sides of the manner described above, there is no confusion.

The word starboard comes from the Norwegian language - or rather the old Nordic, the language of the Vikings; štyri = helm, "side of the rudder." In the old rowing boats still no rudders fixed at the central post, so that the helmsman was using a paddle with a blade and especially great to run the boat. We did the paddle plunging into the water on the right side of the boat. Hence we call the right side of the rudder.

At present, English is still used the term steerboard, but has evolved to Starboard.

Signaling starboard is green. During the day they are plates with these colors on both sides and at night those lights are lit. In this way, a ship that is located some distance from another boat can easily recognize if it is approaching or is removed.

All items must be numbered board, if in the starboard band, have odd numbers (eg fire extinguishers, emergency exits, etc.)

Boat is any concave and spindle construction, wood, metal or other material capable of floating in water and used as a means of transport. Ship, therefore, is a generic term that can refer to both a light canoe to a large carrier. However, being strict with this definition, a raft made from wood or logs together is not considered a boat. The man has used the craft for thousands of years, we have record of more than 10,000 years ago that the man used a tree trunk carved as a proper means of transportation on water.
The use of the oars made the life on board until the seventeenth century, one of the worst punishment that a person could receive was to be sentenced to serve in a galley, "so that life would be a torment and death a relief," as a judge sentenced a Roman in the sixteenth century.

Not all sailors who were at the oars were convicted. There were also free men who sail out of necessity, they were called "willingly". Their only difference was that the condemned could take mustache and hair that were not convicted because they were peeled and shaved andalusia monkfish. Moreover, during the day, free men who were not paddling could walk and talk freely, but by nightfall they were chained like convicts.

Discipline was very strict for all, poor food and bad. The hygienic aspect is inconceivable and hard to imagine. The seamen, officers and sailors, not washed, just as all the clothes they wore were made, however the galley, were required to keep clean, due to the first hour of the day looking over the side, as which allowed the length of the chain to clean despiojarse and wearing rags. Should make their needs in their place were never released because of his string. The sailors who were watching them from time to time they threw a bucket of water that had built up to running the bilge.

Every inch of this bird has been calculated for a special purpose: to fly.

These machines flying so full of life so small and needed a powerful light, much lighter, a good compact structure and ability to float. Well, the thought that has given them everything.

When a bird inhales air oxygen it comes to almost the shoes, if applicable. Often, their lungs have up to nine air bags parts, some of which are extensions to the core, ranging from the bones. Mammals have very heavy, dense bones in the hand bones of birds are hollow and made of a spongy network to increase its capacity for air.

But even the skull of the same bird appears to be designed to enhance their ability to float. Some bones have something like pallets and rigid, for, by all indications, lighten the weight of this machine wheel. His "nose", or rather, peak, has no teeth, because they need to manage robust and powerful jaw muscles.

To enhance its lightness as well, the tail feathers are a bones.
There are birds of prey when flying at high speed to avoid a collision with an unexpected obstacle making a perfect Immelmann movement like a shorn. We know of an African eagle andalusia rush to spin at speeds of 150 kilometers per hour to reach the dam can hold with such skill, extending the wings and tail in a comet, which manages to stand in a space of seven meters .

When the birds are landing cushion the shock to their paws, which consist of three pieces of bone with rigid joints, which operate in opposite directions. This is probably the most efficient absorber in nature.

L'Escala in the municipality contains the ruins of Empuries, gateway to the Greek culture and civilization in the Iberian Peninsula from the sixth century BC The territory, inhabited since prehistoric times, was hit by a superior culture that would transform rennet foundations | Foundations.

A century after the demise of the home county of Empúries according Forgas and Pella, in mid-s.XV, and near what was the first capital, a small village of fishermen began to expand under the impetus of maritime trade .
L 'Escala begins to appear in written texts from the sixteenth century as a small fishing port and depending on the nearby coastal town of Empuries. Its use as a port, however, is far more remote. His name from the Latin Scala, which was very common throughout the Mediterranean area, means a port or wharf, boat shelter usual. The unit will be returning to Empúries during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries for the benefit of l'Escala.

Propellers turn the rotational energy generated by the engine thrust required to move a boat. Discounting this design, the larger will work more efficiently. The problem lies in striking a balance between size and capacity of the motor to rotate to make their system work best.

Although there are many types of propellers 2 most important are those with between 2 and 4 blades are mainly used for axles with inboard engines. Used for outboard engines usually take a number of blades that between 3 and 6.

How can a propeller?

Its size is defined by two data, the overall diameter of the helix and passing their blades, that is what they are inclined and therefore the ability to push water. These two factors are most important to differentiate one from another helix.

Usually a small diameter corresponds to a small engine power, or with a boat designed to move at speed.

The pitch corresponds to the theoretical breakthrough that generates the propeller to turn this one around. Since water is not half so strong, and sliding friction is produced real progress will always be at optimum operating regimes, somewhat lower than theoretical.

Materials - can take many forms, including aluminum, stainless steel, brass, or composite materials. Propellers in 'composites' not working well and are very expensive. The aluminum is the most widely used due to the large number of measures that can be manufactured and the various conditions and with speed that can be used. The bronze and stainless steel are offered the best performance and duration compared to the passage of time and are very suitable for boats moving at speed:
There are different alloys very suitable for the manufacture of propellers but research on composite materials that are more promising. Besides being totally immune to oxidation and very light, in the propellers' composites' behavior is very different from the impact of the metal. The damage is localized only in the strike zone without compromising the entire shaft or reductive as sometimes happens with metal propellers.

Ferrari

The Ferrari 360 is the first in which the body and chassis are built entirely of aluminum. This allows you to have 40% more torsional rigidity and weigh 80 pounds less than its predecessor, the F355.

Its engine is a V8 of 3568 cc displacement and 90 ° with five valves per cylinder, variable valve, 400 hp maximum power (at 8500 rpm) and a torque of 38 Kgm (at 4750 rpm). The block is constructed of aluminum and is available central longitudinal rear, rear and has a traction control off. Includes a system where the engine is accelerated slightly after holding a recess, thereby offsetting the decline of rounds.

The gearbox is six speeds to choose between the classic selector located in the center console (with the characteristic of the grid guide Ferrari), or the F1 option. The latter consists of two cam behind the wheel, whose function is to send a signal to an electro-pump that moves a pulley system attached to the gearbox every time you go up or down a gear. In this way it dispenses with the clutch pedal. As for using the reverse gear in this configuration is achieved by moving the brake and stepping on a small lever that takes the place of the traditional selector.

The braking system is Brembo ventilated discs of 330 mm in diameter and ABS at all four wheels. This allows you to move from 360 to 200 km / ha 0 in 5.1 seconds or 144 meters (10 meters and 4 tenths less than the F355).
